Thousands years of stories

DAY 1 — ARRIVAL, CENTRAL OLD CITY & GANGA AARTI

Arrival & Check-In

  • Private AC vehicle pickup from airport or railway station with greeting from our

  • professional cab driver along with packed bottle water.

  • Check-in at our premium properties (Dev Residency or similar)

  • Welcome kit handover — Welcome drink, handwritten city note, printed itinerary booklet.

  • Briefing session with Kashi companion at the property about the trip

Rest & Unwind

  • Quick rest at the property — no rush, no itinerary

  • Optional: light room service or a short nap

The Ganga Aarti: Premium Riverside Experience

  • Ghat Transfer: Head to the ghats with your local companion.

  • Premium Aarti Seating: Disembark at Dashashwamedh Ghat and take your reserved, premium seats right next to the main Ganga Aarti ceremony.

  • Diya Floating & Chai: Float traditional diyas on the river and enjoy kulhad chai as the crowds disperse.

Night Street Food Walk — Chowk & Old City

  • Walk into the illuminated lanes of the Chowk area with your companion

  • Tamatar chaat, Aaloo tikki, Banarasi paan,gol-gappe, iconic Banarasi

  • thandai, Palangtod mithai(seasonal), Banarasi sweets.

  • Each dish with its full story — the vendor, the history, the craft behind it

  • Hidden bylanes, lit temples & the completely different energy of old Kashi at night.

Darshan at Kaal Bhairav

  • Kaal Bhairav Temple — fierce guardian deity, offered liquor as prasad. Deeply fascinating.

  • Mrityunjay Mahadev Temple — the Shiva who conquers death. Ancient Dhanvantari healing well inside.

  • Return to property for rest — early wake-up tomorrow

DAY 2 — PRE-DAWN RIVER, NORTH CITY TEMPLES & MANIKARNIKA

4:30 AM — Temple Circuit — North & Central Cluster

  • Kashi Vishwanath Temple — VIP darshan before the crowds gather. The Jyotirlinga, the golden spire.

  • Annapurna Temple — directly adjacent to KV, goddess of nourishment, almost always missed

  • Vishalakshi Temple — 250 metres from KV, one of India's 51 Shakti Peethas, the eye of Sati.

Banarasi Breakfast and Private Boat Ride

  • Signature Banarasi breakfast — kachori sabzi, jalebi & chai at an iconic old city shop

  • Your companion shares the full story of the shop, the dish, and the street

  • Board your private boat from Panchaganga Ghat for river journey

  • Boat Route → Panchaganga → Bundi Parkota(Painted ghats) → Manikarnika Ghat →Lalita Ghat → Dashaswamedh Ghat → Kedar Ghat → Harishchandra ghat →Panchaganga Ghat. (depends upon season)

Lunch & Rest at Hotel

  • Return to property for genuine rest and relax

Full Silk Walk — Madanpura Weaver Colony(optional)

  • Enter the Madanpura and Lallapura weaver quarters — the heart of Banarasi silk production

  • Walk through the narrow lanes where every household runs a handloom

  • Visit multiple karkhanas — watch weavers at work on pit looms and jacquard looms

  • Meet master weavers — families who have been producing silk for 15 to 20 generations

  • Understand the full process — thread dyeing, warp setting, zari work, and finishing

  • Browse and buy directly from weavers at true source prices — no middlemen, no showrooms

  • Fabric market exploration — pure silk, brocade, tissue, and georgette in raw form

Evening Temple Tour and BHU Visit

  • Durga Temple (Durga Kund) — iconic red temple, sacred tank full of holy fish, vibrant Shakti energy

  • Tulsi Manas Temple — 2 min walk, white marble temple at the exact spot Tulsidas wrote the Ramcharitmanas

  • Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple — 5 min away, founded by Tulsidas, always alive with devotion and music

  • BHU Campus & New Vishwanath Temple — grand Birla marble temple inside Asia's largest university campus

  • Brief walk through the BHU campus grounds — one of India's most beautiful university settings

DAY 3 — Morning Ghats, Street Food & Farewell

Final Morning Ghat Walk

  • Walk along the ghats from Assi Ghat northward in the early morning light

  • Assi Ghat — Subah-e-Banaras atmosphere, yoga practitioners, Vedic chanting at the river

  • Walk north through Tulsi Ghat and past Chet Singh ghat— quieter and more contemplative at dawn.

  • Visit ancient Akhada and know the history of the ghats.

  • A farewell chai at a heritage ghat — one last sit with the river before you leave.

Farewell Street Food Walk — Assi and Lanka area

  • Kachori sabzi, jalebi, kulhad chai, Lassi — the definitive Banarasi morning spread

  • Your companion shares final stories and reflections about the city over breakfast

  • A short drive to Ramnagar fort for fort exploration

Checkout & Departure

  • Return to property for packing and checkout

  • Private AC vehicle transfer to airport or railway station

  • WanderMate farewell — a parting handwritten note from your Kashi companion .
